Summary on The Cabin in the Woods and its conventions

In Cabin in the Woods, they use a lot of different sub- genres and conventions that are used through-out the film. The first way they do this is by introducing the 5 main stock characters which is Jules known as The Dumb Blonde, Holden known as The Athlete, Curt known as the Popular Guy, Marty known as The Stoner / The Fool and Dana known as The Virgin / The Final Girl. They make these characters recognizable by giving them unusual traits.
